The overall category of Objets d’Art was well received in our 2 May Fine Art Sale and certainly one of the biggest “objects” that we have over sold is a 1931 Leyland Lioness fire engine. This was offered by direction of a deceased estate in Gloucestershire, and has been a class winner in the London to Brighton run. This lot created unusual interest and a number of interested bidders pushed the hammer price to £26,000.
