The silver, jewellery and objects of virtue section comprised an interesting and wide variety of lots. A Russian Faberge silver gilt and pink guilloche enamel egg, sold for £3,000. There were a number of Art Deco figures in this sale. A Ferdinand Preiss figure, Sunny Boy, in cold painted bronze and ivory, sold for £1,700, and a second Ferdinand Preiss figure of a naked female, realised £1,050. Other highlights in this category included a collection of four intaglio seals of the sort that used to grace pocket watch Alberts and latterly ladies’ charm bracelets, which realised £1,400, together with an 18 carat gold watch chain which sold for £1,050, and an early 19th century nine stone rose diamond cluster ring which made £1,800.
